Love this restaurant. New to Harriman. We've been to eat here a couple of times now and have not been disappointed. Wait staff is always excellent. Food is plentiful and delicious. And the prices cannot be beat. We will definitely return and will bring friends.

A local Mexican restaurant. We were seated quickly and our server was pleasant. The food was very good but my husband said the margarita was a little weak. We were traveling and were in and out in record time which was nice.

Great experience! Extremely reasonable prices! The queso is thin but good. The salsa is flavorful without being spicy. The guacamole had good texture and flavor. Tasted very fresh! The food hasn't changed for the better in 15 years. The fries are super crispy and long. We will be back for sure!

I saw an older gentlemen walk into this place just before my family and I entered El Cantarito. Once seated and handed a menu I heard the older gentlemen tell the waiter that he did not have any money. He was served, he ate, once done eating, he donned his backpack, and left. This was all done discretely. It became apparent to me that this establishment is truly an asset to the Harriman Community. I left an extra large tip. Oh and by the way the food was excellent. My family and I were on a road trip and decided to visit El Cantarito instead of our prefered Mexican restaurant. This placed was better. The salsa was perfectly, fresh & spicy. Also the Pollo was delicate and tasty. Next time I’m Harriman this will be my go to eatery.

This place is fantastic if you've never ate here your missing out trust me the food is very fresh and hot when it comes to the table you can't even touch the plates and its clean and super fast service

Delicious food!! Prices are much cheaper than other Mexican restaurants. The salsa was great! The menu had lots of options. The have happy hour and a different 'special' every day. Nothing fancy but the food is great and the place is clean and the workers are attentive.

If you are like me you are a little suspicious when all the reviews are 5 star. Could it really be that good and you have not yet been there? Well I'm pleased to tell you that in this case they all are true. I can complain only that part of our basket of tortillas were broken. Other than that everything from the meal, the pitcher of Margaritas and the dessert were exceptional. My wife was disappointed they were out of the Flan dessert but was very pleased with the banana chimichanga.

Hands down, this El Canterito location is my most favorite Mexican restaurant of all time. Jesus, the owner, is a great guy. The chips are hot and crispy, the food excellent, the margaritas just right. The kitchen has a pretty quick turn around time too. Trust me when I say you will be impressed.

So, I tried the chicken fajitas the last time I was there, and they were delicious, so I got them again this time. I heard thre fajita nachos are awesome.

Normally if you go to a place late the food is not good there. Got to this place kind of late the food was still good

Absolutely the best place for Mexican food in Harriman!! The staff is always super friendly, the service is always fast, and the food is out of this world delicious. The salsa and cheese dip are my favorite out of all of the restaurants I’ve been to. My son and husband love the daily special, too. I highly recommend El Cantarito!!

Husband really enjoyed his meal. Mine was served with the wrong sauce. They did bring me the right one, but, the cheese sauce really changed the taste.

Service is always great even when they are busy. The food is very delicious as well. Well worth it even if you have to wait to get you food due to a food rush. There's never been a moment where I didn't tip, that's how good the service is.

The best food, drinks and service in Roane County

Good old-school setup, good prices on amazing food..! A bit behind the times, could use a new AC system, nevertheless it's quaint & a good experience. Service is serious, the staff is capable of handling a busload of students (literally) within a typical lunch break. The menu is great, as are the specials. We need more businesses like these.

First time trying out this Mexican restaurant and I gotta say it was probably one of the best Mexican restaurants I have been to in Tennessee, the food was absolutely perfect and full of flavor. The salsa at the beginning of the meal was fresh and tasted as if it was freshly picked from a garden. The price for 2 people including appetizers, dessert, and a tip was less than $40. Definitely worth a five star rating and I will definitely recommend and eat at this restaurant again.
